The floorboards, plumbing and electrical are in. We got the bathtub moved to roughly where it needs to be, and I’ve begun construction if the surround.
Once we get the tub’s plumbing connected and do a water tightness test, we finish the surround and begin tiling the floor.

Baby boy and I have been working at putting sister joists in. The existing joists are way out of level. Some are as much as 1.125″ too low. Yikes! I suppose that’s what happens when you have 1,000 lbs of water + people on the floor…

We had some success in canning tomatoes last week, so we figured we would give some jalapeños en escabeche a try. We like ours with more carrots and onions than the recipe calls for. We also haven’t ever properly canned them, but we’ll see how it goes.
