Swiney Goodness

Since I was in Chicago, I figured I had to have at least one memorable meal. PFred recommended the Purple Pig, and it was really close to the hotel, so it was a easy decision.

Since pork was the specialty, we enjoyed the following:

  • Milk braised pork shoulder with smashed potatoes
  • Pork jowl on asparagus, toast and a fried duck egg on top
  • Fried pig ears with fried kale and a fried egg (pictured below)

Everything was very good. The wait staff were a little overwhelmed, but they quickly added personnel, so we didn’t feel neglected.
